Wool? Or Hypnotism?

Vance Packard wrote "The Hidden Persuaders' in, I think, about 1956. His books, etc., are available at Amazon.com. He sets out in great detail how the admen and the politicians twist and manipulate our thinking. It all sems to be right out of the Josef Goebbels playbook. Goebbels, of course you know, was Hitlers PR man uber alles.

Consider the pejorative, if not outright hate speech with which the lame-stream media treats Republicans, especially Conservatives. The current, and latest target on their hate-agenda are, of course the Tea Partiers--such as myself, for example.

The Packard mantra: A jingle, a motto, and repition, repitition, repitition. Consider, eg, how many times you have heard Obama's "corporate jet owners" mantra. Or reference to the Tea Party as "tea-baggers"? Or, if you are old or a historian, FDR's "Happy Days are here Again".
